The Trump administration has confirmed that plans to deport over one million undocumented immigrants have been concluded and ready to start being enforced.
According to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Acting Director Ken Cuccinelli, everything is complete and ready waiting for the relevant authorities to perform their duties which is to go, find, detain and import the immigrants who have already been served with final removal orders.
The official made the remarks while appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation on Sunday, adding that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is mandated with the role to determine who to be targeted from the one million immigrants to be deported back to their motherland during this operation.
“The information on who to be targeted is just information kept within ICE at this point.” Said Cuccinelli. He further added that the list of people who have already been served with the final removal orders is quite lengthy.
The United States President Donald Trump has in the previous few months been very vocal on the same stating that millions of the immigrants are set to be deported but without disclosing how the process was to be executed.
During that period, the President postponed a scheduled raid that was to be carried on ten cities to eject the undocumented immigrants. The President was stating that the reason to reschedule it was in a bid to give the Democrat in Congress more time to revamp the asylum laws.
