The just-launched digital facility by NIC ventures in partnership with Masterpiece Fusion is set to offer both NIC and non-customers the ease of accessing and receiving bid bonds.
According to the managing director at NIC ventures, James Ndung’u, the platform has been made available for all users, and they can access it via mobile and on the web.
Mr. Ndung’u said that the customers would only need to visit BeeDee portal, key in their details, and the system will verify their information as entered. Vetting will automatically be carried out for purposes of ensuring only authentic users’ signup which should take less than five minutes. The user is requested to pay a fee after passing information scrutiny and it’s that which makes the person eligible to generate a bid bond from the web portal. Bid bod generation is used to show that one able to complete an obligation in the case awarded a tender.
Beedee will play a role in empowering small and medium-sized business as they will use the platform in obtaining bid bond required during tenders without going to the bank.
Notably, the platform makes it easy for all its users as it is all-time available and accessible, eliminates paperwork, or users will not need to queue at the bank.
On matters safety, Mr. Ndung’u said that they have ensured that it is a tamper-proof with the use of QR codes, and therefore, clients can feel safe when keying in their details.
BeeDee is expected to attract many users in the country having been the only platform approved by CBK and in existence in the country allowing users to request and receive tender security instantly.
