The leading European on-demand transportation company, Bolt has announced its plans to make payments for trips a bit easier to its users. Earlier this week, through the Country Manager, Olaoluwa Akinussi, announced the launch of Bolt for Business. Through the new platform, companies will be able to make payments for all their corporate trips at once and at a central location.
According to the manager, the platform is set to streamline the payment process for the cooperative employee as they won’t be required to provide invoices by their employees for them to reimburse for the trip cost.
In Kenya, the company is highly preferred by business people who take business trips, commute to work, rushing to clients, dashing to a meeting or the airport.
“Bolt for Business helps companies save time and money on their own expense reporting and the related paperwork. Instead of having employees collect and report individual invoices for trips taken via a ride-hailing service, Bolt for Business customers will have all the information about their employees’ corporate Bolt trips stored in a single location without any extra effort. Paying for the trips is also a lot easier – instead of reimbursing each employee, you pay once a month via a corporate bank card or a bank transfer.” Said the manager.
Bolt for Business portal offers a more straightforward way for the account managers to do business as they can set up their company rules, control who to use the business trips and this makes it easy for them to make a budget and also track the company’s expenses. The corporates can also make use of the platform to monitor the number of trips made by an employee and calculate allowances. The employees will be tasked with the duty to report as to why they will be taking the trip via their mobile phones or their desktop.
What else do we expect?
Bolt soon will be adding more functionalities to the platform so enable corporates to set restrictions on time and location and also payment method is set to be introduced.
Currently, the company is in operations in more than 25 countries in Europe and Africa.
