Earlier today President Uhuru delivered on his promise of a school bus to Jilore High School, Malindi where he officially handed over the school bus to the school’s Deputy Principal Ms. Rachel Fikirini, who was accompanied by her students at State House, Mombasa.
The President congratulated all Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates for year 2018 for their exceptional performance and assured them of full transition to secondary school in 2019.
He applauded the candidates, parents, teachers and all stakeholders involved in the management of KCPE exams this year for the minimal cases of cheating reported.
“It is satisfying that out of more the 1 million candidates who sat for the exam this, only four cases of exam cheating were reported,” said Uhuru.
H.E Uhuru close with encouraging the students to be diligent in their studies for a better future and the students assured him that they will do their best to improve on their school work.
The President had earlier attended a meeting in the Coast with his Deputy where he directed the State Department of Fisheries and the National Land Commission to repossess all public fish landing sites that were illegally acquired by unscrupulous people.
