A power outage paralyzed services within the consular section at the United States embassy in Nairobi early today.
According to a tweet by the Embassy on Monday, all appointments scheduled for Tuesday, March 2, have been canceled following a blackout.
The Embassy further stated that all affected applicants would be contacted in a bid to reschedule their canceled appointments.
“Due to a power outage, all appointments with the consular section at U.S. Embassy Nairobi on March 2, 2020, are canceled.
The Embassy will contact applicants to reschedule canceled appointments. We sincerely regret the inconvenience,” the announcement read, adding that the matter that affected visa applicants was being worked on by technicians.
