Kenya is set to host this year’s Water Electricity and Renewable Energy Expo in October, which will see Egypt, China, and United Arab Emirates among others participate.
The Expo will play a key role in bringing together international players in the sector to engage with East African counterparts leading to the signing of Memorandum of Understanding and partnership deals.
“We halt the international activities for 2017 and 2018 due to political temperatures unfavorable to business. This year we are focused on signing closing deals supporting Kenya’s Big 4 Agenda delivery for which water and energy are key enablers,” WEPEX organizer and ikapamedia East Africa Managing Director Florence Sugut said.
The expo set to commence on October 24th to 26th will address water, electricity and renewable energy technologies as they are the major areas on matters green energy.
East African Water Association (EAWA), Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA) and Kenya Water for Health Organization (KWAHO) are the key players among others.
The three-day event will see over six countries across the globe showcase their latest technologies.
“It is about time for the African companies, firms and institutions to take the leadership on the African economy in these important economy boosting sectors to avert the global effects in the continent,” Links fairs Chairman Reda Mostafa emphasized.
The event will provide room for both private and public experts to bring ideas together and discuss various ways they can improve service delivery and change the peoples’ mindsets on matters green energy.
