Capita Registrars, which offers professional company secretarial services in Kenya, is set to provide training sessions to small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) and startup companies on 26TH JULY 2019 at PRIDEINN Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi.
The training will help the SMEs boost their skills in financial management and compliance with various legal requirements. Besides, the training is set to touch on critical areas like how SME owners can ensure adherence to the Companies Act 2015, the attaining of statutory and regulatory compliance as well as strategy and financial planning.
This will be the third edition since the company launched The Essential Series training program to help SMEs and entrepreneurs streamline their operations.
Attendees will be exposed to other topics such as Registration of companies and business, Intellectual Property, Tax Compliance, Highlights of labor laws, Compliance with Companies Act for your Company, Financial Planning, and Management.
Research shows that SMEs contribute significantly to economic development. The 2017 National Economic Survey report released by the Central Bank of Kenya reveals that small-scale traders account for about 98 percent of all businesses in Kenya.
The report says that SMEs account for about 30 percent of new jobs annually and three percent of the country’s GDP. The vibrant rate at which the sector has been impacting economic development is no mean feat.
