H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Commander in Chief arrived in London Late Wednesday accompanied by his Wife Margaret Kenyatta and a small entourage of his Senior office Team .
The President is in town to attend an international conference on Somalia opens today (Thursday 11/05/17 ) in London, the capital of the United Kingdom (UK). It is organized under the auspices of the UK and the United Nations as part of efforts to put Somalia back on track.
The Horn of Africa nation is currently suffering from insurgency by the Al-Shabaab group plus piracy on its coast, there is currently a humanitarian crisis that is threatening the lives of thousands. Political reforms and the economy will also feature at the event.
The conference will convene Heads of State and Government from across East Africa and other key partners, along with senior figures from international organisations and takes place at the Lancaster House. The first two editions of the conference were held in 2012 and 2013.
He was Welcomed by the Kenyan High Commissioner Lazurus Amayo ,Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Grace Cerere , Amongst other key Personnel . The presidents schedule is indeed very tight as he is due to fly to China in the Weekend . Many Kenyans Have expressed the wish to seek an Audience with such a tight Schedule it May only be a challenge .
Some are of the Opinion he wants to focus on the more important tasks with the Host Country before embarking to the Political arena . The Diaspora Community is one of the Most versatile and dynamic in the set up . It is paramount to keep a low tone whilst managing Key Business Matters .
