Shams Eco Camp, is a scenic recreational destination nestled atop the rugged hills of Kimuka in Ngong, Kenya.
The Camping ground with cozy cabins is located a few meters from historical site of the late Josiah Mwangi Kariuki (popularly known as J.M. Kariuki) Memorial monument. His body was found there back in 1975 after his mysterious disappearance while the place was still wild and inhabited.
Shams Camp endeavors to show the intrigued guests this historical site. Moreover, the camp’s proximity to the JM Memorial site adds historical significance and a focus on empowering young people as it was his cause.

The campsite boasts a splendid view of the renowned Ngong Hills. You can therefore venture into a different experience than the obvious one, go view Ngong hills and the extensive Maasai land from the hilltop of Kimuka.
Accommodation in Lux Cabins:
Shams Camp opened its doors in 2021, hosting its first camping event in December of the same year.
At the moment, the camp offers accommodation in six cabins, each with a bed, a mattress, and a seat, comfortably accommodating 2 people per shared cabin, a total of 12 pax on site.
The cabins are named after English Premier League stadiums. So, Football fans, they got you. Book yourself a feel of your favourite team’s stadium for a virtual feel.
The camp’s utilities encompass solar energy, clean water, modern restrooms, and a portable medical facility.
Security is assured by well-trained personnel and vigilant guard dogs, offering a safe environment.
The camp’s capacity is set to expand to welcome more guests.
