There is indeed a growing desire among Kenyans to own homes, buy land and secure investments for their future generations. However, there exists the challenge of making home ownership affordable and accessible to a majority of Kenyans. To provide solutions to these challenges, the Kenya Homes Expo has organized an event that will significantly benefit its visitors and clientele. The event dubbed “Homes for All” kicks off today and will run up to October 14 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi.
With the government planning to deliver 1 million affordable housing units over the five years as part of President Uhuru Kenyatta Big 4 Agenda, it is looking to incorporate the private sector. The Kenya Homes Expo, having been endorsed Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development thus provides an ideal platform for these engagements.
The event that is sponsored by cement manufacturer, Blue Triangle, seeks to identify and harness opportunities for people interested in owning properties, building and investing in real estate.
During the event, exhibitors showcasing homes will have an exclusive interaction with potential homeowners. Among the exhibitors that will be showcasing homes within the affordable range include Rama Homes with houses in South C, Karibu Homes in Athi River, Riruta Gardens in Dagoretti, Belasi Developers in Juja, Malberry Holdings with houses in Thika and Kiambu among others.
Apart from showcasing affordable homes, the expo will give stakeholders an opportunity to discuss the strategy needs in real estate development as market trends emerge. This section will involve representatives from significant developers like Cytonn Investments, DecoMagna Limited, Epic Properties, Rama Homes Mhasibu Sacco, Vipingo Developers among others.
Coming closely behind South Africa, Kenya is a growing economic powerhouse for the continent and investors are taking interests as a proper destination for their money. This is besides it being a gateway to other East African countries.
