Kenyans from all the corners of the UK braved the Rain to Celebrate their Rich and Diverse cultural Heritage on Saturday the 29th/07/2017 . The event which despite the rain was full of Laughter and Glamour is organised by Kenya in the Park . The office of the High Commissioner was also represented .
The event organized by Ms. Lydia Olet and Ms. Mercy Kiminta was held at the Plaistow Park in London and was attended by people from Kenya, the United Kingdom, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, among other nations. The event was graced by Mr. Washington Oloo, Director, Diaspora Affairs Division at Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Grace Cerere, Ag. Deputy Head of Mission at the High Commission, Mrs. Nelly Amayo, wife to the High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom, Cllr Elizabeth Kangethe, among others.
