Long queues have been experienced in the past few days at the Kenyan Embassy in Washington, DC as Kenyans abroad do the last-minute rush to register for ePassports and Huduma Namba ahead of Thursday deadline.
The high turnout has led to the Embassy requesting applicants to schedule an appointment online before presenting themselves at the Embassy.
Kenyans willing to register for Huduma Namba should visit https://diaspora.hudumanamba.go.ke/diaspora to fill the form and then schedule an appointment at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/huduma-namba-tickets-63584052613.
Thereafter, the applicant will be required to visit the station to have their Biometrics captured, and remember to carry all documents that might be needed in the process of Huduma Namba registration.
For anyone seeking for an ePassport then the process is similar, visiting https://www.ecitizen.go.ke for form application, and then scheduling an appointment via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/huduma-namba-tickets-63584052613.
The applicant will then be required to visit the station on the set appointment date for Biometrics.
The move by the Embassy is set to address the complaints of long lines, wait times, and disorganization that has been previously experienced at the Embassy as many dashes to beat the June 20th deadline set by the Kenyan Government.
