Eatery search and discovery service EatOut in partnership with Indian firm DineOut are set to launch a regional restaurant platform that will make it easy for target customers as they will be able to make meal orders as well as make reservations.
The platform dubbed InResto will target their restaurants partners residing in East Africa. The platform which is the largest in India helps in management of restaurant reservations, delivery orders, walk-ins, feedbacks, white-label apps, and marketing communications.
“We are excited about bringing inResto to East Africa. Our aim is to continue building on the success of our restaurant festivals and media businesses. The Dineout team shares our vision and together we are already working closely with some leading local brands, as we gear up for the official launch of the platform later this year,” said EatOut MD Mikul Shah.
According to DineOut, the platform has enabled them process 30 million seats and be able to manage over 20 million deliveries monthly. Also, the platform has played a key role in assisting restaurants improve their operations by almost 35 percent.

Craft Silicon, a Kenyan IT multinational managed to acquire a Sh51.5 million in 2017 as minority stake in restaurants with portal EatOut. EatOut not only publishes Yummy and Nomad Magazines but also hosts culinary events.
